Barabati Fort

What survives of Barabati is the gate, and that is what this is: the arched doorway, the coursed stone of the ramparts, the two walls running back. It sits on a velvet plinth under a clear case with an engraved nameplate. The fort has stood on the Mahanadi since the fourteenth century. No borrowed monument belongs to Cuttack the way it does, and the city gives it accordingly.
