Returns & refunds
Last updated [ date this notice is published ]
Silver filigree is slow work, and a piece that is not right for you is better returned than left in a drawer. This says how.
The window
Tell us within 7 days of delivery that you want to return a piece, and send it back within [ number ] days of telling us.
The condition it must come back in
Unworn, undamaged, with its box and any certificate, and with the filigree as it left us. Filigree is fine wire: a crushed or bent piece cannot be restocked, and we will have to say so.
What cannot be returned
- Commissions and made-to-order pieces, which are made for you alone and cannot be sold to anyone else.
- Pieces engraved or otherwise personalised at your request.
- [ anything else — earrings on hygiene grounds, for instance, if that is your rule ]
None of this applies to a piece that arrives damaged or is not what you ordered. That is our mistake and we put it right at our cost.
If it arrives damaged or wrong
Photograph it before unpacking any further and write to us within 7 days. We will arrange collection and either replace the piece or refund it in full, including what you paid for delivery.
Who pays the return postage
[ your rule — ordinarily the customer for a change of mind, and us for a damaged or wrong piece ]
Send it insured and keep the tracking number. Until it reaches us it is still your parcel, and silver goes missing.
How the refund is made
To the same method you paid with, within [ number ] working days of the piece reaching us and passing a quick check. Your bank may take a few days more to show it.
We refund what you paid for the piece, including its GST. [ say whether the original delivery charge is refunded on a change of mind ]
Cancelling before it ships
Write to us. If the piece has not gone out, we cancel and refund in full. Once a commission has been started, [ say what happens — whether a deposit is retained, and how much ].
Exchanges
[ whether you exchange, or refund and ask the customer to order again ]
Reaching us
Start a return, an exchange or a question from Your orders — choose the order and the piece, and the conversation with the atelier stays there with it. Or write to tarkashiodisha@gmail.com with your order number. Please do not send a piece back before telling us — an unannounced parcel is hard to match to an order.
